Our Story

Tide & Pine Wellness grew from a long-held vision to create a safe, healing space for yoga, wellness, and community connection. When the Cape Elizabeth location was discovered, it felt like the perfect place to bring that vision to life. We offer an inviting studio for regular yoga and meditation classes, curated wellness events (workshops, sound baths, and guest teacher series), and a flexible event rental space suited for intimate gatherings, private classes, and creative workshops. Our community programming also includes a monthly book club—covering a range of genres and topics—to foster conversation and connection beyond the studio. Our purpose is to provide a welcoming, secure environment where you can move your body, find peace in stillness, and build meaningful relationships.

Clara Burlinson (she/her), LCSW, RYT

Founder/Yoga Instructor

Clara is the founder and owner of Tide & Pine Wellness Collective. She is a 200-hour RYT (Lotus Gardens Yoga School, New Milford, CT, 2019) and is completing her 300-hour advanced training through Arcana in Portland, ME, progressing toward a 500-hour credential.

A licensed clinical social worker and owner of a private practice, Cultivate Wellness (est. 2021), she brings a trauma-informed, compassionate approach to her teaching. Certified in Trauma-Informed Yoga, her classes emphasize safety, choice, and somatic awareness.

Her offerings favor slow flow, gentle, and restorative practices that support nervous system regulation, healing, and sustained wellbeing. Whether leading group classes, workshops, private sessions, or hosting events, she cultivates an empathetic, accessible atmosphere where participants feel seen, supported, and empowered to move at their own pace.

Antonina "Nina" Berube (she/her)

Yoga Instructor

Antonina has been returning to the mat since the early 2000s. What began as a way to build strength and mobility gradually revealed something deeper: a practice of coming into presence. Over time, yoga became an anchor through transitions of both grief and growth. It became a way to quiet the mental chatter, reconnect to herself, and live life more fully. That lived experience is the foundation of how she teaches and holds space.

Her classes weave intentional and intuitive movement with breath and stillness, drawing from Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Hatha, and Yoga Nidra. Nina guides students toward strength with steadiness, depth with integrity, and awareness without judgment. She creates spaces that feel grounded and supportive, allowing students to meet themselves where they are and build resilience from that place.

She is also the founder of EMBODY by Antonina, where she creates spaces for people to step more fully into their own lives through movement, nervous system support, and thoughtfully designed gatherings and celebrations.

Heather Maloney (she/her)

Yoga Instructor

Hi! I'm Heather. My practice of yoga found me at a pivotal moment in my life, offering the clarity and balance I needed to heal and move forward. My intention is to hold space for others feel supported to begin their own journey of self-discovery. I seek to create an environment where students can awaken their energy, challenge their bodies, and reconnect with the present moment. My teaching style emphasizes the importance of fluidity in both mind and body, encouraging students to find strength and flexibility. I have historically taught Hot Power Vinyasa Flow, encouraging students to cultivate inner fire through ujjayi pranayama, resilience, mindfulness, and a deep sense of empowerment. I am now leaning into teaching slower pace that allows for stillness and rest. I lead all my classes with a take-what-you-need approach. All bodies and experience levels are welcome.

Kay Bio pic_edited_edited.jpg

Kay Kerina (she/they)

Yoga Instructor

Kay Kerina was born in Bath, and left Maine after high school for college. She returned to Maine in the spring of 2016, and has been working since then in Human Services and Social Work with the youth of Portland. She is involved with many organizations in the community and did her a 200 YTT training at Arcana in downtown Portland. Kay has always loved what yoga was able to do to help restore her body when she was a young dancer, and she loves diving into yoga in a more meditative and healthy way as an adult. Kay has found that within her studies in social work and her current work, she is ready to expand her knowledge of yoga and practice into social work endeavors to help the "cura personalis", or the care of the whole person. Kay's goal for her yoga spaces she holds is to make safe, adaptive, and inclusive classes that welcomes those that would not usually have the opportunity or feel safe enough to join a yoga class.

Kris Kornegay (she/her)

Yoga Instructor

Kris brings over 20 years of experience exploring various yoga modalities that she incorporates into her practice and teaching. She has completed over 500 hours of training, and holds her RYT500 certification. Her teaching incorporates varying elements and philosophies, from hatha vinyasa to yin/restorative styles, laced with anatomy and alignment, energetic cues, and she hopes, a laugh or two, because the world is too serious already. She believes yoga should be physically and mentally accessible to all, and works to offer options to meet you where you are at in your practice, from new to advanced students.

Rachel Russo (she/her)

Yoga Instructor

Rachel started practicing yoga with the need to reconnect her mind to her physical body. She quickly fell in love with being on the mat, and practicing awareness in community. From Portland, Oregon Rachel moved to Maine over a year ago, and completed her 200-hr training at Portland Yoga Collective, followed up with a 50-hour Yin training. Her classes are focused on exploring physical sensation with curiosity and kindness, as they guide each student to have their own unique experience, and make choices that resonate with them. Rachel will often weave taoist elements into her classes, bringing in the energy of the current season into the studio. Whether a more intense vinyasa or slower yin, Rachel aims to create a safe and grounded container for all of her students.

Sarah Ramsey (she/her)

Yoga Instructor

Sarah grew up playing sports, where movement was usually associated with powering through. Her first introduction to yoga was in high school when Donna, a studio owner in her hometown and mom of a teammate, hosted a yoga class for her soccer team. During that hour of guided breath work, meditation, and stretching, she walked away feeling grounded and refreshed. Instead of pushing her body through something, this class encouraged her to check in and take care of herself.

From there Sarah continued to deepen her practice, and in 2025, completed her 200-hour YTT at Portland Yoga Collective. Sarah's focus is to create the same type of welcoming, judgment-free space she experienced all those years ago, a space where students can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves.
